"On August 4th, Conrad Schnitzler passed away from stomach cancer. Member of Kluster and Tangerine Dream, Schnitzler played in an invaluable role in the shaping of kraut and electronic music. "

A real innovator who wasn't afraid to be way, way out there.  Consider what he wrote (from the link provided) ...

Conrad composed more than 90 albums of solo material, and completed his final work, "00/830," just four days before his death. In preparation for his departure, Schnitzler sent strands of his hair to be buried around the world and created the Global Living Project.

... and the guy didn't have a helluva lot of hair to send around.

90 albums, plus Cluster/Kluster, TD, etc. is a lot of music!

Cry  I can't believe I didn't know this! I've been a fan for many many years. A sad day indeed...

Rest in peace Con and thanks for all the fantastic sound.

“After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music.”
- Aldous Huxley
