25 years before the first cd released...

it was Abba - the Visitors album

and this was the hit song (head over heels) of the first cd album..

Do you think cds live one more 25 years too? Cheesy

I think that soon cds will be obsolete. Much like the tape.
Mp3 will certaintly come to dominate music imo.

I agree with Gordon. I believe that flash devices will take over and replace the CD (actually soon). They have a lot of advantages for the potential buyers. People who don't like to buy a physical item will be happy with mp3 files. 'Lame' enhanced a lot in the last years, and the sound at 320 kbps is real good. I think more and more artists will market themselves through homepages or independent internet platforms.

Ya maybe Mp3 is taking the lead.
Cassette tapes are really dead and i don't know what to do with all my old tapes.  Sad
But i think CD is not dead, simply because it's compatible with DVD players and computers. I'm not a great fan of Mp3 because i love artwork sleeves. But maybe i'm just old-fashioned.
One day i will be sad to have just copies of albums i like.
And if Mp3 really rules, all the bad music is growing in the Web. Everyone thinks that he's an artist. Take a look (and ear) at this :

And tell me if you would buy any album of this band. And i will answer how this music have been recorded (simply like an amateur egghead).
Same in book publishing, everybody thinks he's The writer of the century.
I love freedom but i hate shit.  Cool
