oneday in the blog when taking a look what friends sent to the blog, i saw maneige les porches..
and it was revolution on my music taste..something what i wanted to hear..
its hard to describe this album..but i am sure many of us listened with some way, or heard some tunes of this band..

i would like to listen something similar to the maneige..
(and i believe this band's sound is very original, when someone ask me a band/artist..i can advise many similar..but for maneige i cant do this because i really dont know any band sounding like maneige)

i would like to listen something similar.. Smiley

Maybe the other (French) Canadian bands Sloche and Champignons could be compared. or maybe some songs of Gryphon.
Maneige combined all styles : sympho, folk, jazz... Very hard to define in fact.
Some of the French school was giving the same kind of touch.
...and maybe Maneige was simply unique  Wink

I would suggest "Sloche - J´un oeil".
That and Maneige - Les Poches are IMO the two masterpieces of Canadian prog. At least I haven´t yet heard anything that comes really close.

For me, there is no doubt that Clearlight and Ange plays quite similar music.

Fiori-Seguin is basically the fifth Harmonium lp. It has no sound semblance to Maneige (neither do Ange or Clearlight, for feck's sake.)

Wallace has a trade lp copy of Fiori-Sequin lp. Think its called "Deux nuits...summat"
