Very very difficult one. Often they are those you don't listen anymore. Here's my try:

Caravan - In the Land of Grey and Pink
Family - Fearless
Traffic - The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys
Jethro Tull - Benefit
Delivery - Fool's Meeting
Phoenix - Cantofabule
Steely Dan - Can't Buy a Thrill
Blue Öyster Cult - Secret Treaties
Atomic Rooster - In Hearing of Atomic Rooster

...and last but not least, a favourite of my 8 months old kid:

Giles Giles & Fripp - The Cheerful Insanity of Giles, Giles and Fripp

Note! I have purposely not put 2 or more albums from one band.

Why do people post bands like Metallica, Porcupine tree, fucking Nirvana & Red Hot chilli Peppers in this topic if those didn't even exist between '65 - '75??

Please, try to read the first post at least ppl.  Sad

Mahavishnu Orchestra                    Birds of Fire

Pink Floyd             Dark Side of the Moon

Pink Floyd            Meddle

Frank Zappa            Burnt Weenie Sandwich

Frank Zappa            Filmore East – June 1971

Frank Zappa            Swiss Cheese/Fire

Gong               Angels Egg

Edgar Broughton Band                   Edgar Broughton Band/Inside Out

Atomic Rooster                      In Hearing Of

Santana                         Abraxas

So many great bands, and only 10 albums to pick from! I cheated a little bit by adding Edgar Broughton Bands 2 albums, Edgar Broughton Band and Inside Out, but you can buy them on the one CD now, so im saying that only counts as one, OK!!! haha.
Think ive posted a best top ten album before on PNF, and im sure its completely different from this one.
Oh shit never even gave my hero Jimi Hendrix an album! So his First Rays of the New Rising Sun album is excellent. Or Led Zep, King Crimson, Pappos Blues, Mike Oldfield (OMMADAWN), and even Happy Mondays and their album Bummed and Squirrel and Gmen.

Acquiring the Taste - Gentle Giant
Köhntarkösz - Magma
Free Hand - Gentle Giant
Bitches Brew - Miles Davis (shouldn't be removed from this list)
Timeless - John Abercrombie
Birds of Fire - Mahavishnu Orchestra
Elegant Gypsy - Al di Meola
Sundance - Chick Corea
Hot Rats - Frank Zappa
Lumpy gravy - Frank Zappa

I also cheated a little bit, because Al di Meola's "Elegant Gipsy" was released in 1976. But I couldn't have left it out of the list. As you can see, there's a lot of jazz in this list. I am going through jazz a lot these days, anyways, I don't think I will change these albums as my top ten as least in a couple of years...adieu!
